Apple News, Reviews, and Buying Advice : iOS 4.3 Battery Life

It usually happens with every software update and it seems that this time Apple is Exanta problems. According to several reports in Apple's support forums, some units iPhone 4, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch are suffering an abnormal consumption of the battery after update to iOS 4.3.

User’s report that they have tried to reduce consumption by turning off the notifications, location, Bluetooth and WiFi, but consumption is still excessive compared to the one they had before the upgrade. At the moment we do not know where it could be the problem, but considering that is being discussed in the Apple support forums, the company should provide a solution in the shortest time possible.

Some users report that they have managed to solve with a little more drastic measures. Some of those affected say that after you restore your device to factory state and install the applications directly from iTunes (without restoring the backup) the problem is resolved, but apparently not the case in all teams.

In my case I have not noticed an increased iOS 4.3 battery consumption since I installed the new version, although a huge dip in performance. With this in mind I see the iPhone 3G, the handset I have, and am becoming obsolete and the hardware of the device will move the software costs, but for now it remains compatible.
